National Nursing Home Week at Twin Rivers Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, was a fantastic celebration from May 11 to May 17. We had an incredible time enjoying this special week alongside our notable residents and excellent staff. Here's a recap of the fun-filled events that made this week unforgettable.
We started the week with a delicious barbecue featuring hamburgers and hot dogs. The highlight of the day was a special treat from Goofy Greg’s Shaved Ice Truck, which brought smiles and refreshing flavors to everyone. It was the perfect way to kick off National Nursing Home Week.
Fiesta Day was a blast. Our residents and staff had an absolute ball hitting the piñata and celebrating with vibrant colors and festive fun—a big thank you to Elite for helping us create such wonderful memories. The energy and excitement were contagious, making it a day to remember.
Circus Day brought delightful moments filled with popcorn, cotton candy, corn dogs, and lots of laughter. The whimsical atmosphere and tasty treats made everyone feel like a kid again. It was a day of pure joy and entertainment.
The weather was perfect on the fourth day of our celebratory week for an afternoon in the sun. We enjoyed delicious ice cream and played fun games, soaking up the beautiful day together. The outdoor activities and sweet treats were a hit, creating a wonderful sense of community and happiness.
We wrapped up National Nursing Home Week with Soul Train Friday, featuring music, dancing, and pizza. The lively tunes and dance moves brought everyone together for a fantastic finale. It was a celebration of joy, connection, and fun.
